We saw just a 4 percent drop in battery power per hour while streaming videos, working across docs, and having more than 20 tabs open in Chrome. Even under heavy loads, it’s a challenge to set the cooling fans off. While other laptops throttle performance when unplugged, lowering the power level to conserve battery, the new MacBook Pro doesn’t break a sweat. On top of these gains, Apple added back connectivity ports like HDMI, SD card readers, and physical function keys.
